Anyone who's tried to make a serious endgame amulet in PoE 2 knows the process can go sideways fast, especially when you're sinking a pile of PoE 2 Currency into a base that might brick in seconds. That's why I don't start with just any amulet. I want a magic base with one mod I'm already happy to keep, and for this craft I went with T1 cast speed. Not the usual choice, sure, but some builds really want that line, and forcing a good starting point makes the rest of the gamble feel a bit less reckless. From there, I Regal it first. It's cheap enough, and if things go wrong later, at least the item had a shot instead of being dead on arrival.

The next step is all about trimming the risk, not removing it, because let's be honest, you never remove risk in this game. What I like doing is using a Desecration Orb before the Fracturing Orb. That hidden modifier matters more than people think. Instead of asking the fracture to hit through four visible choices, you're narrowing the field and giving yourself a cleaner swing at the affix you actually care about. It still misses sometimes. Mine did. First attempt, gone. That's normal. A lot of players quit too early at this point, but if the base is right, it's usually worth going again until the fracture lands where you need it.

Once the fractured mod is locked, that's when Chaos Slamming starts to feel real. The target here was +3 to Spell Skill Levels, and there's no pretty way to say it, this part eats currency. You can look up weightings if you want to calm your nerves, but in practice it's still a long session of clicking and hoping. Sometimes it shows up in 60 or 80 Chaos. Sometimes you're staring at your stash after a few hundred and wondering why you started. I got the mod once, took a shot with an Exalted Orb, then immediately got punished for being greedy. The extra suffix was weak, I tried to clean it with an Annul, and the +3 vanished. That's the sort of moment every crafter remembers because it feels awful in a very specific way.

After that, there's nothing clever left to do. You just go back in. More Chaos Orbs, same target, same pain. It took another 365 tries before the +3 came back, which is brutal but not even unusual for this kind of craft. The next Exalt gave Life Regen, and while that's not the dream hit for every build, it's actually useful on some Blood Mage setups, so I stopped pushing my luck. For the last stretch, I cleaned up the prefixes with a Perfect Essence of Enhancement and followed with more Exalts until I landed a strong Maximum Energy Shield roll. Then I added Defense Catalysts to squeeze a bit more value out of the finished piece.

What makes Chaos Slamming worth learning is that it turns random crafting into something a bit more controlled. Not safe, never safe, but controlled enough that experienced players can build real profit if they know when to stop. A finished amulet like this can still move for a solid amount of path of exile 2 currency, even when the league economy starts slowing down, and that's why people keep coming back to the method. It's rough on your stash, rough on your patience, and sometimes rough on your mood too, but when the rolls line up, the result is the kind of item that can carry a character for a long time.
