Core Building Principles
Before diving into tuning sliders, the parts you choose set the foundation of your car’s performance.
AWD vs. RWD
Tire Compounds
  • B Class and below: Rally or Drag tires strike a good balance of grip and Performance Index (PI) cost.
  • A and S1 Class: Street or Sport tires work well. Race tires only make sense in S2, where downforce and extreme grip are needed.
Weight vs. Power
  • Prioritize Race Weight Reduction and Race Anti-Roll Bars first.
  • Handling is king in multiplayer; it allows you to corner cleanly even in messy packs.
Aero Upgrades
  • Adjustable front and rear wings let you tune downforce.
  • Downforce is crucial for high-speed stability in S1 and S2 races, especially on long straights with fast corners.

Essential Tuning Tips
Once your parts are installed, these baseline settings help stabilize any car:
Tires
  • Hot pressure: ~32–33 PSI
  • Start with 28–30 PSI cold, then tweak after a few laps
Gearing
  • Adjust Final Drive so your top speed hits just before the longest straight ends.
  • Avoid unused high gears—extra ratios can hurt acceleration.
Alignment
  • Camber: -1.5° Front / -1.0° Rear (better tire contact during hard cornering)
  • Caster: 5.0–6.0° (improves straight-line stability without hurting turn-in)
Anti-Roll Bars (ARBs)
  • Understeer: Soften the front or stiffen the rear
  • Oversteer: Stiffen the front or soften the rear
Differential (AWD builds)
  • Rear Accel: 60–80%
  • Front Accel: 10–30%
  • This gives the push of a RWD car with the exit grip of AWD.

Community Strategies
If tuning isn’t your thing, the FH6 community has you covered:
“Personally, my strategy is to build cars that I like driving, then pick multiplayer events they are suited for. I have about zero interest in driving meta cars... I need to really like the car I'm driving to have fun.”
—Reddit · r/forzamotorsport
“I have like 4 favorited tune artists where I'm confident if I just download their tune I will be competitive. I don't have fun tuning them myself, I just like racing.”
Following established tuners or downloading popular setups can save time and still let you enjoy racing without endless tweaking.

Bottom Line: In FH6 multiplayer, handling beats raw power. Focus on solid part choices, precise tuning, and finding a car you actually enjoy driving. Once you get that right, climbing leaderboards becomes much more fun—and a lot less frustrating.
